Discord Application
Last updated: 26 August 2026
These terms govern the Gamers' Strife Discord bot (the “bot”, “the application”). By using any of its commands, pressing any of its buttons, or adding it to a Discord server, you agree to these terms and to the Bot Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the bot and remove it from any server you control.
The bot is the Discord surface of the Gamers' Strife competitive platform. It:
Everything competitive is executed through the website's API, so a result reported in Discord counts exactly as one reported on the site. The bot is a client of the platform, not a separate service, and the website Terms of Service apply to the records it creates.
You must meet Discord's minimum age requirement — 13 years old, or the minimum digital age of consent in your country where that is higher — and be in good standing under Discord's Terms of Service. Competitive features additionally require a Gamers' Strife website account, created by signing in with Discord. Browsing commands work without one.
If you add the bot to a server, you confirm that you have permission to do so and you accept these terms on that server's behalf. As the person who installed it, you are responsible for:
We may decline to operate in, or withdraw the bot from, any server at our discretion — including servers whose purpose or conduct conflicts with these terms or with Discord's policies.
When you run a command that changes something, the bot performs that action as you. Your Discord identity is passed to the website, which resolves it to your account and applies exactly the permissions you already hold. The bot's own credentials confer no authority: it cannot make you a team leader, cannot rule on a match unless you personally hold that permission, and cannot act for a user who has not linked an account.
You are responsible for actions taken through your Discord account, including anything done by someone else with access to it. Keep your Discord account secure, and do not let others use it to act in the competitive system on your behalf.
You agree not to:
If you find a bug that could be exploited for competitive advantage, report it to an administrator rather than using it. Reporting in good faith will never be held against you.
Match results reported through the bot carry the same weight as those reported on the website: they move ratings, award currency and achievements, and settle tournament brackets. Both teams' submissions are compared, and a conflict opens a dispute for review.
Disputes are decided by platform staff, and their decisions are final. Repeated false submissions, collusion, or match-fixing may result in reversal of results, forfeiture of rewards, and suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
You retain ownership of screenshots and other content you submit through the bot. By submitting it, you confirm you have the right to do so and grant us a non-exclusive licence to store and display it within the platform for the purpose of recording, reviewing, and publishing match outcomes. We may remove content that breaches these terms.
The bot is provided free of charge, as is and as available, with no warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue any command or feature at any time.
Delivery of updates from the website to Discord is best-effort. A restart, deploy, or network interruption can delay a thread, an announcement, or a bracket refresh; the bot reconciles its state periodically and heals such gaps on its own. The website remains the authoritative record — where Discord and the website disagree, the website is correct.
Subscription status can be viewed through the bot, but subscriptions are purchased, billed, and cancelled on the website. Nothing is sold through the bot, and it never asks for payment details. Subscription terms are set out in the website Terms of Service.
The Bot Privacy Policy explains what the bot collects and how to have it deleted. In short: it never reads message content or DMs, never receives audio, cannot see your presence, and stores nothing about members who have not signed in to the website.
The bot, its source code, command design, embeds, and branding are owned by Gamers' Strife. These terms grant you a personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the bot as intended and nothing more. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, or host your own instance of it, or present it as your own.
We may restrict or revoke your access to the bot, with or without notice, if you breach these terms, the website Terms, or Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. A website suspension applies to the bot as well.
You may end these terms at any time by ceasing to use the bot, and a server administrator may do so by removing it from the server. To delete the data already recorded, delete your account from your Settings page — removing the bot alone does not erase existing records.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gamers' Strife is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the bot, nor for lost XP, lost ranking, missed matches, forfeited tournament entries, or any other loss caused by downtime, delayed delivery, or error. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Gamers' Strife is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc. “Discord” is a trademark of Discord Inc. Your use of Discord itself is governed by Discord's own Terms of Service. Where these terms conflict with Discord's Terms of Service or Developer Policy, Discord's terms prevail.
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Gamers' Strife operates. Disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation or, failing that, in the courts of that jurisdiction.
We may update these terms as the bot changes. Revisions take effect when posted, and the “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent one. Material changes will be announced in the community. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
